Delete your account and data

You can delete your Resume Builder Pro account at any time. When you do, we permanently remove your personal information and resume data from our servers, except where we must keep limited information for legal or security reasons (described below).
Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest way to delete your account and associated personal data:
- Open the Resume Builder Pro app on your Android device and sign in.
- Go to your profile or account settings Look for “Account”, “Profile”, or “Settings” in the app menu.
- Tap “Delete account” You may be asked to read a short confirmation message.
- Enter your current password This confirms that you want to permanently delete your account.
- Confirm deletion Your account and data are removed from our systems right away. You will be signed out.
Warning: Deleting your account cannot be undone. You will lose access to saved resumes, profile information, sync data, and share links tied to your account.
What we delete
When you delete your account (in the app or by contacting us), we permanently delete personal data linked to your account, including:
- Your name, email address, and account credentials;
- Profile information (education, work experience, skills, and related sync data);
- Resumes and resume caches stored for your account;
- Resume share links you created;
- Push notification device tokens (FCM) for your account;
- Feedback and support messages tied to your account or email;
- Sign-in codes (OTP) associated with your email;
- API access tokens for your account.
What may be kept
We may retain minimal information for a limited time only when required—for example, basic server security logs, records needed to comply with law, or anonymized statistics that cannot identify you. We do not use retained data to market to you or rebuild your profile.
Shared resumes
If you created a public share link before deleting your account, that link may stop working once your account is deleted. Anyone who saved a copy outside our app may still have their own copy—we cannot remove files stored on someone else’s device.
How long deletion takes
When you delete your account in the app, removal from our active systems is immediate. Backup copies, if any, are purged on our regular backup cycle (typically within 30 days).
Can’t access the app?
If you cannot sign in or use the delete option in the app, email us from the address linked to your account and ask us to delete your account and personal data. We will verify your identity and process your request within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days).
